Hanomag R55

After several years of savings and searching have we successfully complied our mission. We have bought this beautiful Hanomag R55. Every picture on this page is clickable, this is the way of opening a new page with a full-size photo. And now the brief description of our new treasure:

The motor is running, but will not start on its own
The plating is more or less complete, but needs "some" attention
The gearbox is rather noisy, but fast, the tractor runs approximately 30 km per hour
When driving the tractor, you will have to turn the steeringwheel about 180 degrees, before any steering takes place
All shafts are worn out
Really bad tires

So the end conclusion: We are happy! And also not in the position to idle away in the coming years.

Here you can see the size of the R55, we have
put a mudguard of our Deutz F1M 414 that is
supposed to cover the backtires, against the
front wheel of the Hanomag, it really is a very large
tractor, at least it is for us.
